Vacancy

Here's how the movie goes...
David Fox (Luke Wilson) and Amy Fox (Kate Beckinsale) drives around, got lost. Found a motel, checked in and realized they're going to be victim of some snuff film. (Until that part it already took up a good 40 - 50 minutes of the whole movie. And mind you, the duration of this whole film is only 1 hour 20 minutes!) Then they run around from the "killers" and in the end, David Fox got stabbed, Amy Fox killed the killers using their car. Then Amy Fox realized David Fox isn't so dead after all and called 911. Tadaa!
Initially Sarah Jessica Parker was suppose to be in this movie but she dropped out, so they chose Kate Beckinsale to replace her which i think was a whole waste of time for her. Plus the casts of this whole movie consist of only 1 racoon and 15 people. A lot of ridculous sarcasm and foul remarks in this film and if i were to rate the violence level of this movie comparing to other movies such as Friday the 13th, Saw and others of the same genre, Vacancy is way off. Heck,i thought the trailer of Black Sheep was way more violent that this! And they're sheeps for crying out loud!
I'd only rate this a weak 3.5 out of 10 and the whole 3 goes to Kate Beckinsale for being hot and the 0.5 for the acting and effects. That's all. Yes, the storyline is that predictable. And remember my post on how much expectation certain movies can build up on you before you watch it? This is exactly one of those darn movies. Vacancy, not even worth spending $4 on DVD 9 from Unitek.
