It's the most wonderful time of the year!

A few nights ago, i was looking back at all the entries i've made on this blog and was amazed at the amount of posts i've made on a monthly basis. Comparing it to this year, it's a no brainer that my inspiration to blog have dwindled down a lot. I would put the blame ultimately on the amount of time i spent on refreshing on my Facebook page hoping that someone would write a message on my wall or post a comment on some of my pictures. Come to think about it, i really don't know why i spend so much time on Facebook. All i practically do each time when i log on is refreshing pages and clicking on the same old people's page just to creep on them. Once i've gone through the cycle of a few "honorary" people, i'll return back to the same routine and restart from step one but this time, keeping an eye out on my friend's page seeing whose faces i haven't clicked in a while. Speaking about blogging, it seems like quite a number of the blogs that i read regularly have been showing lack of updates since the start of the year. Not entirely sure if Facebook is to be blamed or if they have moved on from the blogging phase.

I'm not gonna lie but at one point, i did think about shutting down this blog just cause i don't wanna feel like there's an obligation for me to update it. But another part of me looked back at all the stuffs written here and some of them were so personal during that stage where if it wasn't for this blog, i'd most probably forget they journeys i've been through.

So 2010 is coming to an end. For some of us, it's been a long year while the rest, it's been a quick one. Some might have gained a few things (relationships, marriage, graduation, recovery, babies, promotion, etc.) while others may unfortunately lost a few in life. Regardless of what everyone has been through, i think it is important for all of us to take a timeout from the normal routine of life so we can have a time of reflection. Everyone has their own reactions about moving on to a new year. I noticed a few friends of mine cannot wait for the year to be over where it made me wonder if having a different digit showing on our calendar can really make a whole lot of difference in their lives. For me the only significant thing about moving on to a brand new year is it acts as a mark point in my life. If you're frustrated with your life right now and hopes that next year it's gonna get better for you just cause it's going to be a brand new year, it's not going to happen unless you change your priorities and attitudes. That is why taking time out to reflect your year is always important otherwise going in to the new year is going to be exactly the same as any other day. Of course unless you're content with your year and you wish to repeat it all over again...

I think i've had a good year this year as i've done fairly well with my studies, spending my allowance within budget and saving up some money by getting a part time job so i can spend another Christmas trip in Michigan this year. I am excited for 2011 as it is going to be my final year in university and if all goes according to plan, i might be wearing a graduation gown possibly by the start of 2012 if i'm able to catch up with a few of the papers i missed from last year due to my family crisis. While i'm still thinking hard about my career path after graduating from university, i'm looking forward to learn something new and accomplish some of my goals i have set in mind.

So here's to all of you. Wishing all of you a merry christmas and have a happy new year!

Smile and the world will smile with you!
